Sucky new YouTube layout

Where to begin with this horrific "upgrade" of a layout? It's an absolute clusterfuck. It's a complete mess.

The home page is far too crowded. I've got less than no interest in Facebook or Google+ (I don't have accounts and I don't want accounts) and they are being shoved in my face, give me the damn option to remove them. I'm having recommended videos shoved up the wazoo (they take up a third of the page) and I have very rarely in my life clicked on a recommended video. The subscriptions panel is pathetic at best, it's now a single column with large icons forcing you to scroll through for half an hour to see the recent activity of the people you have subscribed to. To make it worse, there is nothing of use on either side of the page as it's occupied by nothing, just a blank background. Which could have been put to use by making the subscriptions panel more efficient, but hey, common sense and all. It feels like it was designed solely for smart phones, if that's not the case then I will simply not understand why they insist on cramming things so close together.

As for the channel page...oh dear. It's horrible, it's even more cluttered than the homepage. On the old channel page, everything was more or less neatly laid out on a single page. It was simple to use, the modules were fully customizable and you could move things around or remove them completely with ease. The new channel page is far less customizable. At the moment it seems the only colour we can change is the background colour. The new channel page is also now split into three different tabs. One for featured channels and videos, one for your feed and information and the third tab for your videos and playlists. Where is my friend list? My subscriber list? My subscription list? Anyone involved in it's development needs to be fired immediately. If I was your boss and you came to me with this idea, I'd fire you on the spot.

It appears your goal is now to kill the YouTube community, and if you continue with these downgrades you'll certainly achieve it. This new layout is a complete failure and it's hated by the majority of the YouTube community, bin it now and give us back the old layout. Stop trying to fix what isn't broken, you just end up breaking it. All the old layout needed was a few tweaks here and there and what did you do? You got a hammer, smashed it to pieces, rebuilt it (poorly) and then shit in my mouth.

You won't be getting any useful information out of my post here, just some jokes about the article. Though no joke I can make will be as funny as the actions of U.S Congress. Click the article link above to read about it.

Oh Americans, so rather than actually eating healthy they just change the meaning of vegetable to presumably make themselves feel better about living unhealthy lifestyles, and Americans wonder why they have an obesity problem.

Vegetables need to start coming with a warning in America, "Warning : Vegetables should only be eaten as part of a healthy balanced diet."

Jamie Oliver must be face palming right now. You can now walk into a cafeteria or restaurant and order some french fries and some pizza and they'll now count as two of your servings of vegetables. Since I'm a vegetarian, does this mean I can now cook up a big juicy and greasy steak, cover it in ketchup, but be okay to eat it because according to their logic it's a vegetable.

"After some debate, Congress voted that anything containing two tablespoons of tomato sauce can be labelled a vegetable, putting pizza into the vegetable category." Now, considering a tomato is a fruit, I find it hard to believe you can get a serving of vegetables out of something that isn't a vegetable.

Nice to see all of your tax dollars going to good use at least.

London riots - A funny look at the looters

I know the riots are a serious thing and I don't intend to undermine the seriousness of what is happening, but let's take a light hearted look at what's happening.

Here are some of the funny things I've seen thus far.

A Curry's employee (still in her uniform) getting arrested outside of Curry's, for looting Curry's.

You have the chance to loot something, and you choose a bag of Tesco brand Basmati Rice? Of all the things in Tesco to steal. I love the way he's posing in the picture, the man is either a comedic genious or an absolute idiot.

Look at the woman in the middle with the crisps (potato chips), she's running as if she's robbed a bank. How desperate does one need to be to rob Poundland by the way?

Police have called in reinforcements for the riot. The wizards are arriving.

This guy stole some Body Shop Body Butter (the yellow tubs on the table).

How I would have loved a gust of wind to have blown it back in his face.

Not to sound racist or anything, but he's not wrong. Just watch any video and look at any picture.

I've read and seen some other funny things on the news about the looters (can't find videos or pictures).

A man stole 6 shoes from JD Sports, all 6 were for the left foot.
A woman trying on shoes outside of JD Sports before running off with them.
People looting imodium.
I've also heard of people breaking into McDonalds, Burger King and KFC to make their own food before running off with it.

Also, I believe Arsenal and Tottenhams trophy cabinets were broken into, but the looters left empty-handed.

I'm really struggling to understand some of these people. I mean, if you're going to steal, then at least steal something worthwhile (not that I'm condoning stealing).

Sooooo, basically a 24-year-old man befriended a teenage girl, got her address, then started visiting her house and stole 18 pairs of her panties. Police found around 280 pairs of panties when they searched his house. Nothing creepy at all about that now is there?

She's a pretty stupid girl for giving out her address to him. She's lucky all he wanted was her underwear. *sniff sniff*

Now this isn't really news considering the previous underwear thief had stolen over 3000 pairs of underwear and the guy before that had stolen over 1000. I don't know why and I don't want to know why.

The man who stole over 3000 pairs of underwear was quoted by police as saying “I’ve stolen from other homes too. I’ve always been interested in women’s underwear.”

Good thing you didn't steal all 3000 from the same woman, that might have raised her suspicions.

My question is, how long did it take the police officer(s) to lay out all 3000 pairs for the evidence pictures? Kind of has the vibe of a major drugs bust to it.

Why steal them? Why not just buy them? Maybe they don't smell unique enough, who knows.

Ric Flairs latest money grabbing venture

As his website states, “This is the only website authorized to sell Ric Flair® memorabilia.” conveniently ignoring the good folk at Highspots.com who successfully sued him for money he owed from past loans and are now also selling autographed Ric Flair memorabilia.

The biggest item for sale is a custom made replica of the "Big Gold" Championship Belt with a Ric Flair name plate, for a bargain price of $4,550. No problem Ric, I'll just bend over and assume the position, reach up there and take what you like.

You can also buy a 5-minute phone call for $495 or a 5-minute video chat with Ric for $700. If I was dumb enough to buy one of those conversations, I'd have him cut a 5-minute personalized promo and then upload it to Youtube. Ric Flair is turning into a webcam girl who strips for our money and pleasure, he's become a whore.

"Has this ever happened to you?" No, no it has not. Why? Because I make sure the lid is on tight. I also have a fully fuctional bottom lip which prevents such things from occuring (Watch his bottom lip each time the drink spills). Now, I can understand someone having an occasional spill but, how often does something like this happen that requires you to purchase a man bib? Have you seriously reached the point where you can't feed yourself without ruining your clothing?

Also, just what exactly is impressing the woman in this video? Is it the fact that the man is seemingly incapable of having a drink without spilling it all over himself or is it that he's wearing a bib? I can't imagine what woman would be impressed by either situation.

"Forget messy spills and unplanned accidents" Yes, because we all plan on spilling drinks all over ourselves. Seriously, buy a mug with a screwable top that doesn't spill. Now you can drink and not face ridicule.

Why is the woman in the car at the end of the video is wearing one of these bibs? I mean really, who has kids that are capable of spilling a drink onto your lap while they are sitting in the back seat?
